Marshall Don Tirey, age 89, of Finley, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Born on June 30, 1936, in Dyersburg, TN, he was the beloved son of the late Otis Alan Tirey and Bonnie Willard Tirey. Marshall was the owner and operator of Tirey Plumbing and Electric, where he dedicated much of his professional life. A devoted member of the West Dyersburg Church of Christ, Marshall was also known for his love of animals, particularly his Doberman, Ramsey. He contributed to the community as a transporter for Paws to Care. Marshall enjoyed spending time with his family, engaging in activities such as boating, skiing, and camping. His passion for mathematics was well-known among his friends and family. Marshall will be remembered for his family-oriented nature and his contributions to both his community and his family.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Jim Chamblee and Bro. Carmon Dennison officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two sons, Alan Ross Tirey (June) of Troy, TN and Marshal Bryant Tirey of Dyersburg, TN; two daughters, Suzanne Childress and Tracy Tirey, both of Dyersburg, TN; three grandchildren, Emily Baker, Kelly Mullikin and Anna Barnett; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob Wroten, Conner Wroten, Sophie Conrad, Grayson Baker and Logan Baker.

In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Susan Tirey; two sisters, Zoda Bell Burns and Bertha Lou Watts; and two brothers, Otis Tirey, Jr. and his twin, Maurice Tirey.

Serving as pallbearers will be Alan Tirey, Marshall Bryant Tirey, Dale Baker, Cameron Barnett, Jacob Wroten and Conner Wroten. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Mullikin, Dale Woods and Kelly Puckett.
