Mark Yates, 69, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at his residence.

Mark was born on September 28, 1953, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Billy and Emmalene Eidson Yates. He worked for 56 years at Yates General Appliance and Furniture in the appliance department and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mark was a lover of all thing's history and music. He never met a stranger and loved talking to everyone he met.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Beth Bernheisel officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Yates Family will receive visitors from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ruth Yates; a brother, Joe Yates (Patty) of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Laura Yates Emerson (John) of Huntsville, AL; a brother-in-law, Steve Moll of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Yates Moll and Lark Ann Yates.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
