With love and respect, we celebrate the life of Marie Criswell Lavender, who on Thursday, October 29th, left this earth to be with her savior.  Born and raised in Dyersburg, Tennessee to her parents, Lawrence (1951) and Sally (1948) Criswell; she was their last living child, preceded in death by one sister and nine brothers.

Marie married Norris J. Lavender (1993) and they had one daughter.  She was a dedicated employee of Dyersburg Cotton Products for over 35 years until retiring in 1987.  As a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church for 65 years, she loved her fellowship family and the endless support they provided.  In retirement, Marie enjoyed social gatherings at the Senior Center, sewing and her weekly exercise classes.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Lavender Blanchard of Venice, Florida, three grand children and six great-grand children, all of whom she loved and adored.

Visitation will be Friday, November 6th at Dyersburg Funeral Home from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M.  A service will be held on Saturday, November 7th, at the Hillcrest Baptist Church at 10:30 A.M., followed by the burial at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Jones, Toby Horner, Shelton Jones, Buster Gibson, Maurice Garrison and Billy Johnson.
