Margaret A. Kesterson, age 84, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at her residence.
Born on August 24, 1941, in Montello, WI, she was the beloved daughter of the late Herman and Betty Doctor Witt. Margaret was a dedicated employee of Obion Manufacturing and also worked at Sylvania. She spent her life cleaning houses and working in childcare, always finding joy in helping others. Margaret was a devoted mother and took great pleasure in helping raise her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She had a passion for crocheting, playing cards, and working on puzzles. A faithful member of Beech Grove Baptist Church, Margaret was known as a good Christian woman who was very active in her church community.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Beech Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Clendenin officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Yvonne M. Mines of Dyersburg, TN; two sons, Michael J. Kesterson (Karen) of Dyersburg, TN and Tommy W. Kesterson (Sherrie) of Arkansas' a brother, Herman "Butch" Witt of Florida; a sister, Donna Fleskes of Oregan; six grandchildren, Lisa Stephens (Chad), T.J. Kesterson, Victoria Prather (Eli), Kelly King (Gage), Ashley Henson (Dallas) and Rachel Kesterson; seven great-grandchildren, Molly Stephens, Tyler Stephens, Grayson Barham, Katherine Kesterson, John Kesterson, Jim Henson and Jackson Prather; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kinzley Barham and Beau Barham.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Tommy J. Kesterson; two sisters, Joyce Jones and Arlene Rambow; and a grandson, Tyler Chadwick Kesterson Norman.
Serving as pallbearers will be Antony Parham, Bruce Davis, Jimmy Anderson, Jeremy Williams, Shayne Binkley and Justin Watson.
