Mrs. Mamie Lou Tubbs, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.  She was born May 21, 1935 in Ridgely, TN to the late Walker & Madie Johnson.  She is fondly remembered as a devoted homemaker, a wonderful cook, always on the go and never passed up a yardsale.

She is survived by her sons, Albert "Cotton" Tubbs of Dyersburg and David "Peanut" Tubbs of Clifton, TN, her brothers, Donnie, Billy, Sonny & Fred Johnson and a sister, Patty Johnson.  She was loved as Grandmaw and Granny by her three grandchildren, Catherine Anderson, Brandon Tubbs and Heather Tubbs, her great-grandchildren, Cayla and Maggie Anderson, Maygen and Baylee Tubbs and Madison Reeves and great-great-grandchild, Caiya Harris.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Tubbs, her parents and her brother Carlton Johnson and sisters, Maybelle Simmons and Peggy Hicks.

Visitation will be at Dyersburg Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Wilford Mobley with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Tubbs, Mike Glozier, Andy Anderson, Alan Sims and Levi Hinson.
