Madie Mitchell Paris, 98, of Troy, formerly of Tiptonville, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her residence.
She was a retired private sitter and a member of Wynnburg Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wynnburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Byassee officiating. Burial will be in Terrace Hill Cemetery in Troy. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church.
Survivors include her daughter, Alice Beeler of Troy; three sons, George Paris and Johnny Paris, both of Tiptonville and Cletus Paris of Murfreesboro; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jefferson Paris; a daughter, Brenda Dotson; three sons, Jim Paris, Jerry Paris and Roy William Paris; her parents, Henry and Della McGee Mitchell; and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be John Robert Castleman, Joe Lee Williams, Chris Paris, Paige Miller, Nick Hollowell and Jamie Lofton.
