Luther Richard Faulk, 88, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
He was born on June 21, 1928 in Portageville, MO to the late Nathan William Faulk and the late Bessie Mae Carrington Faulk. Luther was well loved by all the people he worked with and supervised during his 30 years at Heco. He had a logging job and had other grown men under his supervision at the age of 14. Luther was a very hard working man and had two jobs most of his life.
He gave my mother money to give to the church to tithe even before he started attending church himself and made the comment that he noticed that he started making more money after giving to the Lord. Luther gave his heart to the Lord while he and his son were down praying together 19 years ago. He became a faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church. Everyone who ever met him described him as the kindest man they ever met, full of grace and character.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rehoboth Cemetery with the Rev. Mickey Dodd officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
