Lurlene Hummer's Obituary
Lurlene Hummer, 90, of Newbern, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at The Highlands of Dyersburg.
Ms. Lurlene was a retired obstetric technician at Parkview Hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Larry Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
The Hummer Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her two sons, Bill Hummer and wife, Donna, and Sam Hummer, all of Dyersburg; a sister, Janet Westbrook and husband, Kenneth of Dyersburg; five grandchildren, Connie Brewer, Christie Hamm, Eric Hummer, Bethany Hummer, and Megan Hummer; five great-grandchildren, Haleigh Hamm, Houston Hamm, Hanslee Hamm, Katelyn Hummer, and Mason Hummer; and the father of her children, Harry Hummer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Wilma Cooper Hollis; an infant son; and five brothers, J.W. Hollis, Billy Joe Hollis, Marvin Hollis, Charles Hollis, and Duane Hollis.
Pallbearers will be Keith Hamm, Jeff Brewer, Jim Horner, Robert Horner, Ray Horner, and Dale Friday. Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Boswell.
The Hummer Family requests that memorials be directed to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1055, Dyersburg, TN 38025.
