Luna B. Cantrell, 101, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Signature Healthcare of Ridgely.

She was born on July 2, 1920, in Ridgely, TN, to the late, William and Jennie Harrison Wood. Luna loved to cook. She retired from Lara Kendall Elementary School as the cafeteria manager and was a member of Ridgely First Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021 at New Haven Cemetery with Rev. David Gray officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include her son, William Cantrell and wife, Beverly, of Tiptonville, TN; two grandchildren, David Cantrell and wife, Brittany, and Breana Cantrell; and four great-grandchildren, Kamrie Smith, Brody Smith, Luke Cantrell and Mollie Kate Cantrell.

In addition to her parents, Lunda was preceded in death by her husband, Bealor Orell Cantrell; a daughter, Glenda Cantrell; a sister, Pauline Moore; and a brother, Rayford Wood.

Pallbearers will be Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Wally Dudley, Rob Bledsoe, Howard Todd and David Cantrell.
