Obituary

Mr. Luis Alfonso Portillo, Sr. passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.  He was born December 17, 1965 in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico to Jose Rayo Portillo and Aurora Clark de Portillo.  He worked as an electrician for Nucor Steel in Blytheville, Ar. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, and traveling. He was a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood Electrician Workers) and USW (United Steel Workers).

He is survived by his children, Anay Aurora Williamson and husband Jon (residing in Memphis, TN) and her brother, his sisters, Olga Portillo de Cerros and brother-in-law, Jesus Cerros, Teresa Portillo de Guerra and brother-in-law, Carlos Guerra, his brothers, Guillermo Portillo and sister-in-law, Beatriz Hurtado de Mendoza and Daniel Portillo and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Aurora Clark de Portillo and Jose Rayo Portillo and a brother, Manuel de Jesus Portillo.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 7 p.m. conducted by Fr. Patrick Hirtz.
