Lucille Sewell Reed's Obituary
Lucille Sewell Reed, 82, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was a retired employee of the quality-control department of Sylvania and a charter member of the Church of Jesus Christ on South Main Street.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Johnson and the Rev. Mickey Dodd officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald Reed and wife, Terrie, of Brandon, Miss., Wendell Reed and wife, Christine, of Friendship and Ricky Reed of Dyersburg; two sisters, her twin, Louise Criswell, and Pearl Gamble, both of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Reed; her parents, Walter and Beedie Hall Sewell; three sisters, Maureen Glover, Mabel Spain and Emma Summitt; and two brothers, Roy Sewell and Lois "Buck" Sewell.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Smith Sr., Sam McGuire Sr., Sam McGuire Jr., Kevin McGuire, Paul Rose Jr. and Jimmy Johnson.
