Lorene Anderson Barnes Shanklin, 88, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at The Highlands at Dyersburg Nursing Center.

She was a homemaker and attended Independent Free Holiness Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Winstead and the Rev. Kenny Chessor officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Davidson and husband, Clifford, and Virginia Lacy and husband, Millard, all of Finley; six grandchildren, Anita Eaton, Danny Lacy, Steve Simmons, Scott Lacy, Tonya Hughes and Sherry Beasley; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ordie Barnes and J.W. Shanklin; her parents, Algie and Ida Dunlap Anderson; her sisters, Kathleen Vancleave and Alice Collins; and her brothers, Amos Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Emerson Anderson and Clarence Anderson.

Pallbearers will be Danny Lacy, Scotty Lacy, Steve Simmons, Keith Beasley, Robby Eaton and Randall Hughes.
