Lizzie Faye Holmes, 68, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at her residence.
She was a retired manager for Charter Oil Company in Orange, Texas, a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a former member of Miston Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Miston Baptist Church with the Rev. Carmon Dennison officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Miston Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Baggett and husband, Rickey, of Miston, Derhonda Davis of Dyersburg, and Julia Doss and husband, Michael, of Humboldt; three sons, Michael Todd and wife, Lisa, of Miston, Timothy Todd of Dyersburg, and Gary Alexander and wife, Tiffany, of Newbern; a sister, Cammie McCollum of Dyersburg; four brothers, William Lovell of Tiptonville, Harold Lovell of Centerville, Charles Lovell of Jackson and David Lovell of Dyersburg; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and a best friend Penny Holmes of Dyersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Earl Holmes; and her parents, William and Bennie Thedford Lovell.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Allan Baggett, B.J. Hoffpauir, Wesley Young, James Young, Dwayne Young, Justin Todd, Mark Baggett and T.J. Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Crystal Hoffpauir, Tracey Pearson, Natashia Davis, Lindsay Alexander, Savannah Alexander, Erica Tittle and Kalee Baggett.
