Little Joe Pritchett, 90, of Finley, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Oakwood Community Living Center.
He was a retired supervisor for Colonial Rubber Works, where he worked for 35 years and a member of Finley Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for 50 + years. He was an avid fisherman, loved sports, football and baseball and loved his family, his Lord and his church family. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. We celebrate his life. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Finley Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Halliburton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Usry Pritchett of Finley; a son, Thomas "Butch" Pritchett and wife, Emily, of Dyersburg; a brother, Bobby Pritchett of Medford, OR; and two grandchildren, Natalie Blaine Pritchett of Longmont, CO and Katie Lynn Pritchett of Finley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Flora Wilson Pritchett; two sisters, Mildred Warren and Marguerite Putman; and two brothers, Jim Pritchett and Billy Harold Pritchett.
Pallbearers will be Mike Campbell, Lee Simmons, Mark Enochs, Gary Perdue, Nick Reeves, Frank Wells, Ron Van Hooser and Robert Mauldin.
