Littie Katherine Burkhead, age 98, of Dyersburg, TN passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at West TN Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. She was born on December 14, 1923 in Finley, TN to the late Commie Eugene (C.E.) and Vivian Birmingham Enochs.

On February 2, 2022, our matriarch, our prayer warrior, our sweet mother and MawMaw was called home. She is with her first love, Jesus, and reunited with her precious Big John, the love of her life, and her parents and siblings who she loved so dearly. There are not enough words to tell how much she loved the Lord and her family. Her constant prayer was for all to hear the gospel and know the love of her Jesus. She dedicated her entire life to His service and touched the lives of so many in her 98 years. She loved her decades of teaching Sunday school, prison ministry, and hosting weekly prayer meetings in her home for over 50 years. Her heart was gold, and now she is dancing on the streets of gold. Those who had the privilege of knowing her are forever changed by her love. What a legacy. What a heritage she has given us. What a beautiful life she led, filled with so much love. You can rest now, sweet Littie. Well done, good and faithful servant.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 12:00-3:00 at Cornerstone Church of God in Dyersburg, TN. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Cornerstone Church of God conducted by Pastor Chad Balentine and Pastor Rowdy Davis. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include her two sons, David Burkhead (Leanne) and John Burkhead Jr. (Sharon) both of Spartanburg, SC; one daughter, Yvonne Terry (Andy) of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, JB Enochs (Joan) of Chattanooga, TN; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Burkhead (Shawna), Charity Bernard (Ned), John Eric Burkhead (Shayla), Holly Ogletree (John), Julia Hudson (Brandon), Jordan Wilson (Seth), Andy Terry Jr. (Beth) and Zachary Potter; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Big John" Burkhead and eight brothers and sisters.

Honoring Ms. Littie as pallbearers will be Jonathan Burkhead, Eric Burkhead, John Ogletree, Brandon Hudson, Ned Bernard, Seth Wilson, Spencer Terry, and Joel Enochs Jr.. Honorary pallbearer will be John Eric Burkhead.

The family would also like to thank her special caregiver, Mrs. Ann Boren for all the care and time she gave to their mother over the last few years.
