Mrs. Linda Ann Gamble Vaughn, passed away suddenly at the age of 74 on Friday, August 6, 2021 , at Vanderbilt Hospital .

Linda was born on April 21, 1947, in Dyersburg, to the late Tom & Lucille Gamble and worked for the City of Dyersburg Fire Department for 38 years.

Linda was a beloved member of Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Churc h and was involved in all aspects of her church . Even though she could never quite make it on time, Linda was always there . Her service included teaching Sunday School , Children's Ministry , Ladies Fellowship, the Senior Church Group and more . Linda also loved the Church Choir , singing special solos as testimony several times.

Short in stature, but with a big laugh and bigger heart, Linda enjoyed game nights with the ladies and "going South" with her husband, Ronnie.  Linda loved to travel with her family and best friends – Joyce Childress, Ruby Beaubien, and the late Linda Jacobi.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Three Oaks Chapel with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Vaughn Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, August 9 , 2021 at the church.

Linda 's family includes her husband, Ronnie Vaughn; a son, Tim Vaughn (Lisa); one brother, Thomas Gamble, Jr. (Pat) ; one sister-in-law, Linda Jean Coker; one brother-in-law, Jerry Vaughn (Phyllis); two grandchildren, Londyn Vaughn (Hunter Norman) an d Chanler Vaughn ; and friend Lori Burdine (Zack ) , all of Dyersburg, TN.

Pallbearers will be David Allen, Sam Helm , Dennis Hogue, Lanny Hogue , David Holbrook, and David Fowlkes . Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Burkhead, Randy Miller, Ron Hilliard, and Ted McNeill.
