Linda Faye Tate Smith, 67, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at her residence.

Linda was born on February 8, 1955, in Ridgely, TN, to the late, Harry and Ruby Turner Tate. She worked in medical records for the Northwest Correctional Complex and was a housewife. Linda was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Calvary Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Smith Family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Calvary Independent Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Freddie Smith of Ridgely, TN; a son, Corey Smith (Nicole) of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Donnie Tate of Ridgely, TN and Joe Tate of Obion, TN; five sisters, Carol Gatlin of Rogersville, AL, Brenda Campbell of Hornbeak, TN, Jessica Moore, Sharon Moore and Nancy York, all of Ridgely, TN; and four grandchildren, Eli Smith, Cora Smith, Madelyn Smith and Michael Smith.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Dudley; and five brothers, Ray Tate, Hillman Tate, Marvin Tate, Wayne Tate and Gene Tate.

Pallbearers will be Byron Stover, Hunter Stover, Leonard York, Chris Tate, Larry James and Jimmy Jackson.
