Mrs. Linda "Doodle" Marvin McClain, of Mooring, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.

She was born October 8, 1948 to the late Mary Burkett Marvin and Joseph Allen Marvin. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker, caring for all of her family members and also loved caring for and watching hummingbirds at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth McClain; two sons, Jason McClain and Randy McClain; two granddaughters, Caitlyn & Lakyn Poyner, all of Mooring, TN; her four sisters, Vicky Peery and husband, Donald "Bubby", Sheila Southerland and husband, Carl Thomas Southerland, Carolyn Jones and late husband, Robert, and Mary Farmer and husband, Billy; her three brothers, Joeboy Marvin and wife, Joyce, Tony Marvin and wife, Debbie and Rodney Marvin; and a sister-in-law, Nona Marvin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary & Joseph Marvin; a daughter, Kim McClain Poyner; her son-in-law, James Poyner; and a brother, Robert Marvin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Calvary Independent Baptist Church from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Independent Baptist Church, conducted by Bro. Carl Southerland, with interment to follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.

Nephews of Linda McClain will serve as pallbearers with Mr. Charles Stewart and Garrett Shelton serving as honorary pallbearers.
