Linda Jane Baker LaMastus, 71, of Hornbeak, TN, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at her residence.
She was born on May 26, 1945 in Tennessee, to the late Robert Baker and the late Lois Orton Baker. Linda was the director for the Office on Aging for Lake County and was also the director of Tiptonville Senior Citizens Center. She was a graduate of U.T. Martin and worked at the U.T. Agricultural Extension Office. Linda was a former teacher and had also been the director of a developmental pre-school in Lake County. She had attended Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Linda was known for her kindness and generosity to anyone in need.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Cobb's Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeak.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry LaMastus of Hornbeak; a daughter, Michele Hall (Jim) of Knoxville; a son, David LaMastus (Melissa) of Hornbeak; a sister, Darlene Driver (Bill) of Troy; two brothers, Sam Baker (Brenda) of Obion and O'Neil Baker (Nancy) of Troy; and three grandchildren, Jessica LaMastus, Matt LaMastus and Lexi Hall.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Gooch, Warren Douglas, Shane Morrow, Jimmy Cox, David Haggard and Kelly Owen.
