Lewis "Dock" Burns, 64, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Jackson Regional Hospital.
He was a bridge foreman for Dyer County Highway Department.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Burns of Dyersburg; three daughters, Teresa Johnson and husband, Lynn, Dana Troutt Ham and husband, Michael, all of Dyersburg and Lora Buress and husband, Dicky, of Finley; a son, Jeffery Lewis Burns of Dyersburg; two sisters, Sandra Jones and husband, Richard, of Dyersburg and Peggy Davis and husband, Burless, of Finley; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Eula Anderson Burns; three brothers, Sprigg Burns, Parse Burns and Paul Burns; a sister, Barbara Smith; and a grandson, Blake Burns.
Pallbearers will be David Burns, Travis Burns, Danny Hickerson, Vick Burns, Kenneth Bryant and Gerald Burns. Honorary pallbearers will be Burless Davis and Tim Jackson.
