LeRoy Cook, 84, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

LeRoy was born on February 28, 1938, in Milan, TN, to the late, Marvin and Betty Brown Cook. He was the owner and operator of Cook's Used Cars for 45 years and was a member of Wynnburg Baptist Church. Before LeRoy opened the car lot with his brother Billy, he worked at Georgia Gulf for over 20 years as a foreman. In 1957, LeRoy married Doris Cook and they were married for 58 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Wynnburg Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Wynnburg Baptist Church.

Survivors include his two daughters, Linda Cook and Leann Cook, both of Wynnburg, TN; a brother, Billy Cook and wife, Shawanne, of Ridgely, TN; a sister, Mary Jane Mayo of Wynnburg, TN; three grandchildren, Jason Brooks, Brayden Bane and Rileigh Roberson; two great-grandchildren, Baylee Brooks and Remington Brooks; a nephew, Joe England and wife, Carol, of Wynnburg, TN; and a great-nephew, Josh England of Wynnburg, TN.

In addition to his parents, LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Cook.

Pallbearers will be Gary Southerland, Tony Marvin, Billy Farmer, Matt Deason, John Parker Dean and Mark Roberson.
