Leonard Cooley, Jr.'s Obituary
Leonard Cooley Jr., 80, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
He was retired as assistant superintendent for the Dyer County School System, a Navy veteran, a member of Dyersburg Kiwanis Club, past Kiwanis lieutenant governor of Tennessee, a former business teacher at Dyersburg High School, and received his master's degree from Memphis State University.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. John Lowrance officiating. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Cooley West of Dyersburg; and a brother, William "Bill" Cooley of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Cooley Sr. and Ruby Street Cooley.
