Leon Lee, 82, of Ridgely, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 at his residence.
He was a retired merchant, who owned J&L Furniture & Appliance and also worked for 14 years at the Lake County Regional Prison. Leon was a member of Ridgely Church of Christ and a member of Woodmen of the World Society. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ridgely Church of Christ with Mr. Jeff O'Dell and Mr. Leonard York officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The Lee Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Ridgely Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Juel Jones Lee of Ridgely; two sons, Kenny Lee and wife, Diane, and Dennis Lee and wife, Annie Sue, all of Ridgely; three grandchildren, Kenneth Lee, Jr. and wife, Magda, Andy Lee, and Donna Bennett Morris and husband, Noah; and eight great-grandchildren, Benjamin Taylor, Carley Taylor, Jack Blakley, Liam Morris, Jacob Vega, Sam Lee, Chris Lee, and Brooke Lee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Ethel Butler Lee; two sisters, Beatrice Woody and Catherine Pitts; and four brothers, Arthur Lee, Otha Lee, James Lee, and Andrew Lee.
Pallbearers will be Andy Lee, Kenneth Lee, Ben Taylor, Jacob Vega, Sam Lee, and Chris Lee.
