Leon Goff, 80, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Tennova Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin, TN.
He was born on September 2, 1937, in Hickman, KY, to the late Arlie C. Goff and the late Mary Lee Graves Goff. Leon was a retired Trooper for the Tennessee Hwy Patrol, where he worked for 26 years. He was also a taxidermist and the former owner of R&S Furniture. Leon was a member of Finley Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Halliburton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Kaye Pritchett Goff of Dyersburg; three sons, Timothy Lin Goff of Duluth, GA, Randy Leon Goff (Donna) of Finley and David Michael Goff (Heather Ing Goff) of Troy; a sister, Linda Goff of Dyersburg; a brother, Ray Goff of Samburg; six grandchildren, Marilin Rae Aubuchon (Colin), U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Timothy L. Goff II, Mary Madeline Goff, Joel Kyle Goff (Hannah), Ashton Nichole Goff and Hollie Kaye Goff; and one great-grandchild, Olin Grant Aubuchon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.
Pallbearers will be Joel Kyle Goff, Garrett Walker, Steven Pollard, Walter Wilkerson, Robert Gourley and Tim Lovelace. Honorary pallbearers will be 1st Lt. Timothy L. Goff II and members of the Tennessee Hwy Patrol.
