Lena M. Sullivan, 99, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Oakwood Community Living Center.
She was a homemaker. Ms. Lena was a member of Finley Baptist Church and was also a member of Finley RSVP.
During her life, Mrs. Sullivan suffered many challenging times of life struggles, but her courage and faith in those difficult times as well as the good times were an example and inspiration to all who knew her. Mrs. Sullivan used her talents God gave her to enrich the lives of all her family, as well as countless others. Her gifts of homemade quilts, stuffed animals and dolls were surpassed only by her gifts of love.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Halliburton officiating, Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The Sullivan Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
survivors include her three daughters, Louise Clark and Mary Christian, both of Finley and Ginger Winchester of Newbern; a brother, Brown Ham of Dyersburg; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sullivan; a daughter, Frances Pierce; a son, Buddy Sullivan; her parents, Jim and Frances Norman Ham; three sisters, Nora Ruth Hanks, Bessie Tucker and Sally Hicks; four brothers, Guy Ham, Mack Ham, Hyder Ham and Anderson Ham; two granddaughters, Tina Wiles and Pam Pike; and a grandson, James Sullivan.
Pallbearers will be Scotty Hollis, Jimmy Winchester, Jim Loines, Hank Clark, Billy Clark and Derrioll Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ms. Sallie Roddey and Ms. Laverne Tucker.
