Lemmuel "Bud" Simpson, Sr., 82, of Reelfoot Lake, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at The Bridge at Ridgely.
He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Kimberly-Clark and a member of First Baptist Church in Troy. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. John Latimer officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Cloverdale.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye Gooch Simpson of Reelfoot Lake; two daughters, Cheryl Gooch Loft of Lakeland and Kymberlinn Simpson of Reelfoot Lake; three sons, Tony Gooch, Lemmuel Simpson, Jr. and Scott Simpson, all of Reelfoot Lake; and four grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Simpson and Lemmuel "Trey" Simpson, both of Memphis, Elizabeth Anna Loft of New York City, N.Y. and Kymberlinn Simpson of Reelfoot Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Erma O'Rear Simpson; and a brother, Olan Simpson.
Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, Kevin Sanders, Bart Sanders, Trey Simpson, Paul Franks and Gerald Simpson.
