Lemmie Lee Jones, Jr., 87, of Brighton, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Methodist Healthcare North in Memphis, TN.

He was born on April 12, 1932, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Lemmie Lee Jones, Sr. and the late Celia Roe Christie Jones. Lemmie was a retired supervisor for Continental Investment Corporation in Memphis. He was a Baptist and was a member of West Memphis Moose Lodge.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery with Mr. Larry Fowlkes officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his two sons, Lemmie Lee Jones, III of Munford, TN and Raymond Christie Jones of Covington, TN; four daughters, Kathy Lee Pruitt of Cape Girardeau, MO, Susan Marie Sersion of Brighton, TN, Nancy Lynn Peterson of West Palm Beach, FL and Lynda Jo Hunt of Grand Rapids, MI; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Lemmie was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Marie Fuehring.
