Leland Junior Johnson, 84, of Willis, MI, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at his residence.
He was a retired tool and dye setter and a member of Holy Hills Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Ballinger officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil Johnson of Willis, MI; two daughters, Judy Fleming of Willis, MI and Carolyn Cook of Belleville, MI; a son, Ronnie Johnson of Westland, MI; three sisters, Virginia Robinson of Tiptonville, Mary Haley of Union City and Nazline Basham of Ridgely; a brother, Bonnie Johnson of Union City; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Henry Green Johnson; three sisters, Charline Gregory, Pamela Thurmon and Maxine Norris; and two brothers, Millard Johnson and Willard Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Larry Fleming, Scotty Cook, Nicholas Ray, Ricky Glass, Brad Glass and Rusty Grills.
The family requests no flowers, that memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice in honor of Leland Johnson.
