She was born September 25, 1970 and was a graduate of Dyersburg High School, the University of Tennessee-Martin, and Memphis State University. She is preceded in death by her father, Terry Ratliff, her grandparents Edward Ratliff and Littie Ratliff and her uncles, Danny Hollingsworth and Bud Wallace.

Taylor's tribute to Leigh Ann:
My precious mom. Walking into the hospital with hopes of bringing her home and leaving with nothing but a bag of her clothes was something I had never envisioned. Even so, she has entered the best home of all.
She was selfless, loving, and full of light. She gave so much of herself to everyone around her and never asked for anything in return.
If we were in a room full of people and happened to notice the same thing, I already knew she would be laughing too before glancing at her. She was my best friend.
I give thanks to God for handpicking her for me and blessing us with such a special bond. I pray to be half of the person she was. She wanted me to have the best life possible and I always planned on paying her back for it someday.
Although I'll never be able to do that, I will continue to live this life for the both of us and make her proud. Mom, always remember, Tay loves you more.
