Laura Mae McCord, 74, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Born on September 11, 1948, in Hornbeak, TN, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Madie Kolwyck Benthal. Laura was a homemaker.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include her three sons, Thomas Riley, Richard McCord (Brandy) and Robert McCord (Becky) all of Tiptonville, TN; two daughters, Teresa Irvin and Pam Irvin (Willie) all of Tiptonville, TN; a brother, Marshall Dale Benthal of Tiptonville, TN; thirteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Riley; a sister, Mary Ann Gamble; and two brothers, Thomas Benthal and Lonnie Benthal.

Pallbearers will be James Wiggins, Charlie Wiggins, Willie Morris, Jeremy Hedgepath and Goble Wiggins.
