Lassie J. Burrus, age 87, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Reelfoot Health & Rehabilitation.

Born on February 28, 1938, in Tiptonville, TN, she was the beloved daughter of the late Willie and Naomi Etheridge Rogers. Lassie was the owner of Nanny's Daycare for many years and also sold Avon. She was a dedicated member of the Tiptonville First Baptist Church, where she contributed her time working in the nursery.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Tiptonville with Mr. Danny Cook officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Burrus Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the church.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Burrus (Sandra) of Tiptonville, TN; six sisters, Mildred Davis of Plymouth, MI, Margaret Grueninger of LaCenter, KY, Sally Hodges of Sikeston, MO, Dolly Ruiz of Cairo, IL, Addie Sims of East Prairie, MO and Rosalee Rogers of Dyersburg, TN; four grandchildren, Crystal Parrish of Barton MS, Joni Bargery (Scott), Elicia Sumara (Joseph) and Chris Burrus (Tiffany) all of Tiptonville, TN; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Burrus was preceded in death by her husband, Delmus Burrus.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Gooch, Joseph Sumara, Phillip Kimble, Dylan Burrus, Trey Woods and Kent Grueninger.
