Obituary

Larry Edward Watts, 67, of Ridgely, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at his residence.

He was a conservationist 1 for Reelfoot Lake State Park, where he worked for 28 years and attended Keystone Church of God.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Samburg Assembly of God Church with Bro. Paul Adams and Bro. George Hutchison officiating. Burial will be in Burrus Chapel Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn S. Watts of Ridgely; a daughter, Angela Gayle VanCleave and husband, Chad, of Ridgely; a son, Larry Anthony Watts and wife, Bethany, of Tiptonville; a sister, Lou Cunningham and husband, Ed, of Kansas City, MO; three brothers, John Watts and wife, Madie, of Tiptonville, Phillip Watts and wife, Marcie, and Jimmy Watts and wife, Lexie, all of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, Ashleigh VanCleave Callahan and husband, Elijah, Jayden Watts, Blair Elizabeth Watts and Hudson Watts; and one great-grandson, Zachary Callahan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Carrie Lou Odom Watts; two sisters, Betty Morton and Hazel Tolley; two brothers, Barney Eugene Watts and Doyle Watts; and a grandson, Zachary VanCleave.

Pallbearers will be Russell Covington, Chris Baggett, Thomas Watts, Allen Webb, Jimmy Pugh, Andy Davis, Richard Turner and Brian Garner. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Simmons, Buddy Leonard, Billy Staggs, Bobby Staggs, Elmer Staggs, Andy Crews, Jaynne Erwin and Warren Douglas.
