Larry Thomas Stone, 61, of Memphis, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in Memphis.
He was a systems manager for Kenny Floor Covering, attended University of Tennessee at Martin, formerly a member of First Baptist Church in Ridgely and a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in Guam and Scotland from 1968-1972.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Haven Cemetery with Bro. Ray Goodgine II officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family received visitors from 12-2 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Stone of Memphis; his mother, Anne Stone Lavenue of Tiptonville; two daughters, Celia Stone and Marcel Stone, both of Memphis; a son, Sandino Stone of Memphis; two step-daughters, Laura Denise Whitfield and Marlo Marie Whitfield, both of Memphis; two step-sons, Donnell Whitfield and Timothy Whitfield, both of Davenport, Iowa; two sisters, Susan Goodgine of Tiptonville and Carrie Lou Anderson of Ridgely; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Stone; and his grandparents, Q.T. and Mary Opal Shaw West and Pete and Christine Stone.
Pallbearers will be Randy Anderson, Nicky Jones, Nicky Ligons, David Freeman, Steven Ligons and William Parks.
