Obituary

Mr. Larry W. Potter, of Wichita, KS, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Homestead Healthcare Center in Wichita.  Larry was born January 20, 1946 in Hobart, OK, to the late Warren & Bessie Potter.  He spent many years working as a logistics manager for Emery Worldwide Logistics.  He and his family were members of Northside Church of Christ in Wichita and he loved volunteering to serve those in need in his community.  He is remembered for his humor, his love and dedication to his family.  He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War.

Larry is survived by his son, Warren Potter & wife, Heather, of Wichita, his daughter, Jennifer Cheatham & husband, Jim of Newbern, TN, his sisters, Patty Campbell & Karen Frederick and was greatly loved as "Pappy" by his grandchildren Braylee Potter, Logan Cheatham & Broderyck Potter.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 38 years, Dorothy Carolyn Potter and his brother, Tony D. Potter.

Family and friends are invited to gather for graveside funeral services on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, TN.  Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Bobby, Glen & Steven Stewart, Daniel Adams, Adam Tipton and Doug Weatherly.  A Memorial service honoring Larry W. Potter will be held at a later date in Wichita, KS, with details to be announced.
