Larry Pewitt Leonard, 72, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Dyersburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
He was born on January 6, 1945 in Union City, TN, to the late Will Leonard and the late Mildred Pewitt Leonard. Larry was retired from the sales department with Colonial Rubber and Fastenal. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and served in the Tennessee Air National Guard.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ed White officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Gwen Leonard of Dyersburg; a son, Jason Leonard and wife, Mandy, of Dyersburg; a daughter, Emily Hollingsworth of Finley; and five grandchildren, Will Leonard, Katie Leonard, Clay Hollingsworth, Lottie Hollingsworth and Huck Hollingsworth.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Leonard.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Welch, Tim Dunagan, Bruce Swims, Wilson Fesmire, Brian Hatch and Jay Cryer.
