Larry L. Joyner, Sr., 68, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired welder for Holloway Construction Company and an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Hirchie Schaffner and Rev. Stanley Booker officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Friendship.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley Marie Joyner of Dyersburg; a daughter, Charlotte Marie Allen and husband, Bert, of Blytheville, AR.; two sons, Mark Joyner and wife, Jennifer, of Wartrace and Larry Leonard Joyner, Jr. of Whiteville; four sisters, Rita Shappley of Baymon, Puerto Rico, Martha Nell Frye of Brownsville, Linda Morris of Jackson and Paulette Hayes of Alamo; a brother, Douglas Joyner of Gadsden; ten grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Louella Duncan Joyner; and two brothers, Thomas Richard Joyner and Billy Dean Joyner.
Pallbearers will be James Booker, Danny Booker, Michael Ybarra, Jason Forrest, Brian Galloway, Keith Morris, Lee Morris and Lynn Austin.
