Larry Hollingsworth, age 72, of Dyersburg, TN passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his residence.

Larry was born on September 11, 1948 to the late Leborn Hollingsworth and Edwina "Tommie" Permenter Hollingsworth. He worked for Georgia Gulf Coast for 20 years and also owned his own construction company for over 10 years. Larry retired from Caterpillar and was a member of Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery conducted by Bro. Bill Phipps.

Survivors include his sons, Scott Hollingsworth (Erin) of Dyersburg, TN and Chad Hollingsworth (Amanda) of Dyersburg, TN; one step-daughter, Amy Wesley of Newbern, TN; four sisters, Patricia Moore (Paul) of Newbern, TN, Judy Cruce of Troy, TN, Kay Lowery ( Tony Tipps) of Dyersburg, TN, Martha Cabay (Bob) of Ripley, TN; seven grandchildren, Aly Hollingsworth, Madison Hollingsworth, Ansley Hollingsworth, Erica Turnbo, Caleb Hollingsworth, Josh Chadwick, and Austin Wesley; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Armstrong Hollingsworth and his grandson, Dustin Wesley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
