Larry Gene Gurley, 56, of Wynnburg, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at his residence.
He was a retired mechanic for John Deere of Dyersburg and a member of Calvary Baptist Church near Bogota.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Gurley of Wynnburg; a daughter, Elisabeth Bryson and husband, Charles, of Dyersburg; a son, Larry Daniel Gurley of Wynnburg; his mother, Barbara Gurley Franklin of Dyersburg; two sisters, Minnie Gurley Cox and husband, Richard, of Dyersburg and Anna Gurley Lovell of Union City; and three grandchildren, Ashley Gurley, Audrey Ward and Marybeth Ward.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnye Gurley.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Poyner, Brandon Poyner, Josh Lovell, Mack Lovell, Adam Kiddy and Joe Marlow. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Turnbow and Terry Runions.
