Larry Forsythe Sr., 66, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
He was retired from M.A. Hanna, a member of Independent Free Holiness Church, a former member of the Tennessee Army National Guard, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Smith and Bro. Bud McPherson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Glenda Forsythe; a daughter, Kim Wells and husband, Mike, of Dyersburg; a son, Larry Forsythe Jr. of Dyersburg; a sister, Judy Linder and husband, Rick, of Collierville; and three grandchildren, Heather Wells, Asia Thompson and Mason Forsythe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William S. and Ethel Forsythe.
Pallbearers will be Rick Linder, Evan Linder, Chris Lotterhos, James Townson, David Townson and Johnny Baker.
