Mr. Kevin Lynn Pitt, age 52 of Guntersville, Alabama, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital.

Kevin was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee on June 14, 1971 to Ted & Nadine Ayers Pitt. He was a graduate of Dyersburg High School. After school, Kevin worked in management for Fred's Retail Stores for many years. His job transferred him from Jackson, Tennessee to North Alabama in 2004, where he made his home for 19 years. After Fred's, he worked for Variety Wholesalers. After moving to Alabama, Kevin and his family quickly became a part of the community. He was involved in the Grant Rec League Baseball for many years. He supported his children's involvement at the Kate Duncan Smith DAR School. Along with being DAR Patriot fans, Kevin and his family were BIG Tennessee Vols fans.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gina Pitt; son, Kaleb Pitt; daughter, Mackenzie Pitt; sister, Deb Bluew and Felecia Atkins (Tom); 7 nephews; 5 nieces; and a countless number of loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted & Nadine Ayers Pitt; and his brother, Mike Evans.

Kevin's family will receive friends at Grant Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 8th from 3-4 p.m. A service celebrating his life will begin at 4 p.m. Dr. Steve Stanfield will officiate, and many of Kevin's closest friends will speak. On Monday, July 10th, a visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. A graveside service will take place at Fairview Cemetery on Tuesday, July 11th at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the KDS DAR School for a baseball scholarship to be setup in Kevin's memory. Donations may be made to KDS DAR School, c/o Heather Green, 6077 Main Street, Grant, AL 35747.
