Kenneth Edward Ratliff, 73, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his residence.

Kenneth was born on August 20, 1947, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Edward and Littie Simpson Ratliff. He was a retired tool & die maker for Heckethorn Manufacturing and was a former employee of GTE Sylvania. Kenneth was lifetime members of the Disable American Veterans-Chapter 46, the VFW- Chapter 1972 and the American Legion-Post 30. He was a member of Finley Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

Funeral services for Mr. Ratliff will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Halliburton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The Ratliff family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Ratliff of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Jason Ratliff of Dyersburg, TN; two little girls who were the sunshine of his day and called him Papaw, Addilyn and Everly Davis; a nephew who helped care for him, Barry Farley (Tania) of Halls, TN; two great-nieces, Katie Davis of Dyersburg, TN and Molly Farley of Halls, TN; a great-nephew, Hunter Farley (Allison) of Evanston, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Ratliff.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Odel, Joseph Hardin, Kelly Welch, Jay Greer, Jesse Dale Newton and Michael Gene Newton. Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Vaughn, Terry Cole, Harold Leach, Phil Simmons, George Winters, Robert Riggs, Danny Burress and Hank Soucey.
