Dr. Kenneth S. Lewis, Jr., 80, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his residence.
He was a retired optometrist, lifelong member of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching and his profession.
Memorial services will be at 12 noon Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Craig officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Baird Lewis of Dyersburg; two daughters, Dr. Melissa Barton and husband, Steve, and Merrill Lemon and husband, Danny, all of Dyersburg; two sons, Kenneth S. "Bud" Lewis III and wife, Cody, of Bonicord and Rev. Paul Baird Lewis and wife, Helena, of Bangor, Northern Ireland; and seven grandchildren, Shelly Lemon, Alicia Lemon Teeter, Jenna Lemon, Russ Barton, Rob Barton, Erik Lewis and Amy Clare Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Kenneth S. Sr. and Pauline Johnson Lewis.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the organization of the donor's choice.
