Kaye Bernice Summers, age 71, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on January 16, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Born on August 30, 1953, in Dyersburg, TN, she was the daughter of the late Kelmer and Henrietta Riley Tinkle. Kaye was a dedicated homemaker and worked as a school bus driver for the Dyer County School System and the Office on Aging. She was also a former LPN at Dyersburg Manor, where she loved taking care of people. Her family, grandchildren, and her dog were the center of her world. She enjoyed watching dirt track racing and playing Bingo.

She is survived by her son, Cary Tinkle (Rhonda) of Dyersburg, TN; her daughter, Tammy Tinkle of Dyersburg, TN; her brother, Tony Tinkle of Dyersburg, TN; her sisters, Barbara Baize of Finley, TN, and Tina Morris (Philip) of Thompson Station, TN. She leaves behind six grandchildren, Cary 'C.C.' Tinkle II, Brandon Copas (Jenny), Justin Copas, Cody Copas (Amber), Matthew Copeland (Emily), and Emily Jerding (Jonathan), as well as nine great-grandchildren, Eden Tinkle, Cohen Tinkle Simmons, Brentley Copas, Colton Copas, Braxton Copas, Levi Copas, Paisley Copas, Laiken Copeland, Londyn Copeland and Hadley Jo Jerding; her companion, Billy Smith of Dyersburg, and her beloved K-9 companion, Eli, also survive her.

In addition to her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Summers; her daughter, Bobbie Kay Copeland; her brother, Mike Tinkle; her son-in-law, Dexter Tubbs; and her grandson, Cade Tinkle.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025, in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. on the same day at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Cary 'C.C.' Tinkle II, Brandon Copas, Justin Copas, Cody Copas, Matthew Copeland, and Billy Smith.
