Mrs. Kathleen Cagle Ward, of Dyersburg, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.  She was born November 6, 1947, to Hardin & Linnie Cagle in Lynn, AL.  She spent her life as a devoted homemaker, managing her home and family throughout her husband's career in the U.S. Army.  She was a talented singer and lover of birds and flower gardens.  Her giving nature was evident in her support of ministries serving the Native American communities of the Southwestern United States.

She is survived by her husband, of 55 years, John Wesley Ward, her daughters Karen Warren & husband, Patrick, and Johnnie Long & husband, Brian, her brothers, Alvin & Eddie Cagle, her sisters Madie Watts, Evelyn Carroll, Shirldean Embry, her grandchildren, Alison Ekberg, Katelyn & Jordan Warren and Seth Long as well as her great-grandchildren, Ayden, Ella, Maggie, Cora and soon to be born, Kathleen Ekberg.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Carroll.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Living Word Church in Hornbeak, TN at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Mr. Archie Larry & Ms. Jeannette Connell.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until services begin.  Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, TN.  Pallbearers will be Seth Long, David Pitts, Keegan Embry, Chris & Ben Farley and Mark Harris.   The family would like to recognize those EMS and medical personnel that cared for Mrs. Kathleen as her honorary pallbearers.
