Katherine Anne Schumacher, 63, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was a retired registered nurse, a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church, for many years she was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, were she served as a deacon and president of her circle, she tutored many people, teaching them to read and she was an avid gardener.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Robert Stellini officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Andy Schumacher of Dyersburg; a son, Jim Ford and wife, Kelly, of Dyersburg; her mother, Virginia Baker of Dyersburg; two step-daughters, Deby Dandan and husband, Joe, of Nesbit, MS. and Lisa Schumacher of Stafford, VA.; two step-sons, Randy Schumacher of Washington, DC. and Jimmy Schumacher and wife, Jenny, of Littleton, CO.; a sister, Donna Baker and husband, Michael Morgan, of Lummi Island, WA.; and five grandchildren, Colton Ford, Andrew Schumacher, Bryce Schumacher, Emilie Dandan and Joseph Dandan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leland "Bud" Baker.
Pallbearers will be Jim Ford, Neal Raggett, Jim Mohead, John Ford, Danny Dedmon, Brad Sanko, Jimmy Schumacher and Randy Schumacher.
