Karnese Shepherd, 85, of Dyersburg, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
She was a retired machine operator with Heckethorn Manufacturing. Karnese was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, a member of Home Demonstration Club, and a member of Women's Missionary Union.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lynn King and the Rev. Michael Crandall officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The Shepherd Family will receive visitors from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Jacque Shepherd of Dyersburg; a sister, Sue Burden of Huntingdon; and four nephews, David Burden of Paris, Mark Burden of Jackson, Ronnie Hunter and Woody Hunter, both of Ripley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Aaron Shepherd; and her parents, Homer and Clara Neighbors Cowell.
Pallbearers will be David Burden, Mark Burden, Ronnie Hunter, Dillon Burden, Shelton Jones, and Matthew Tippit. Honorary pallbearer will be Woody Hunter.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Hillcrest Baptist Church.
