Judith Kay
Webb
May 23, 1944 – January 2, 2025
Judith Kay Webb (Chassar), 80, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 2nd 2025 at West TN Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.
Born on May 23, 1944 in Detroit Michigan-Grandma, Mom, and Momma Ceta: As she was affectionately known to us, brought warmth and laughter to the lives of all who knew her.
While not a renowned chef, Grandma had a knack for making simple dishes special. Her stuffed bell peppers were a family legend and though we teased her about it, her hot dogs with applesauce always held a special place in our hearts that we always joke about. But cooking was just one small part of her vibrant personality.
Grandma's love story with Grandpa was the stuff right out of a Disney love story. Their 40+ years of marriage was a testament to devotion not seen in today's world much anymore. Grandpa, her "knight in shining armor," intervened when another man harassed her on a double date in the 1960s, a moment that forever cemented their bond.
My father often spoke of their peaceful evenings, where they would share stories of their day, a testament to the quiet strength of their love.
Grandpa, a devoted elder in the Church of Jesus Christ, instilled in Grandma a deep sense of faith and a gentle spirit. I never witnessed a single argument between them; their love was a constant and comforting presence in our lives.
Losing Grandma leaves a void in our hearts. She was the last of my grandparents, a link to a era that is forever lost. Holding her hand tonight, along with my sister, was a bittersweet moment we shared left me feeling somehow closer to both of them.
Tonight was a reminder of the enduring power of family love that we should all hold near and dear onto for life 💕
Grandma will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever be a part of us.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cindy Brooks (Ricky) and Linda Daum (Carl) all from Dyersburg, TN; two sons, David Webb of Lewisburg, TN and Christopher Webb of Newbern, TN; a brother, Thomas Chassar of St. Claire Shore, MI; two sisters, Carol Lyons (Roy) of Lake Charles, LA and Diane Mha of Michigan; six grandchildren, Scotty Fernandez, Shannon Fernandez, Holly Crews, David Webb Jr., Hunter Daum, and Amber Webb; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Webb; her parents, Thomas and Helen Christian Chassar; and a sister, Pat LaSalle.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
May she rest in peace. And as my Uncle Chris Webb said tonight in his very last words to his mother, "see you later alligator." 🐊 ♥️ We love you Grandma.
