Juanita G. Ogden, 88, of Springville, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Northbrooke Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, TN.

She was born on November 1, 1930, in Ridgely, TN, to the late, James Herbert Thurman and the late Mormie Riley Thurman. Juanita was a retired employee for Heckethorn Manufacturing and was a member of Tates Pentecostal Church in Huntington, TN.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Paul Smeton officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, TN.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Shelia Gibson and husband, Brad, of Springville, TN; two sons, Roger Kevin Ogden and wife, Valerie, of Jackson, TN and Kirby Grant Ogden and wife, Judy, of Newbern, TN; a sister, Bertha Reed of Olive Branch, MS; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Garris, Caroline Howard and Bernice McKinley; and two brothers, Roy Thurmond and Joe Thurmond.

Pallbearers will be Blake Harris, Mitchell Harris, Michael Harris, Paul Cartwright, Jeff Cartwright and Lynwood Hathcock. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Campbell and Greg Gray.
