Joyce Marie Spain, age 53, of Halls, TN, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Born on July 1, 1971, in Hayti, MO, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ollie and Ruby Diggs Giles. Joyce was a dedicated homemaker who had a passion for cooking and baking. A 1989 graduate of Hayti High School, she was also an artist who loved to free hand draw. In her leisure time, Joyce enjoyed watching wrestling and boxing. She loved her children and grandchildren and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Pastor James Mosley officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her three daughters, Karen Giles Jones, Mahalia Giles Jones and Alexandria Giles Jones, all of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Shyheim Giles Jones of Bristol, TN; four sisters, Helen Churchwell and husband, Timothy, of Dyersburg, TN, Ollie Tate of Halls, TN, Natalie Giles of Cape Girardeau, MO and Lauren Griffin of Peoria, IL; a brother, Ollie Giles, Jr. of Peoria, IL; and nine grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Jimill Giles Jones; and a sister, Shondra Smith.
