Joy Gardner, 90, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on February 4, 1929, in Humboldt, TN, to the late Herbert Roscoe Strain and Nema Norene Gilliand Strain. Joy was a homemaker and was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at Cottonwood Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Adams and Bro. Chuck Stewart officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Debbie Roberson and husband, W.C. and Pam Stewart and husband, Charles, all of Ridgely; a son, Randy Gardner of Ridgely; seven grandchildren, Kent Roberson, Natalie Mills, Chuck Stewart, Courtney Baker, Keith Gardner, Cody Gardner and Priscilla Gardner; and twelve great-grandchildren, Finley Roberson, Sawyer Roberson, Peyton Lebo, Rylee Mills, Ryan Mills, A'Lee Stewart, Landri Stewart, Stella Stewart, Kaleigh Baker, Kaden Baker, Kolten Baker and Graham Shaver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwyane Gardner; a son, Ronnie "Bo" Gardner; two sisters, Doris Stepp and Dorothy Cronan; and two brothers, Ralph Strain and Nathan Strain.

Pallbearers will be John Neil, Tommy Hicks, Gary Cantrell, Jeremy Baker, Jason Mills and Jaxon Neil. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Cottonwood Baptist Church.
